For those keeping track of the C40LF order rolling for the MTA, the original order is finally completed. However, that doesn’t mean that New Flyer’s Crookston plant is slowing down production for us just yet. They have already started to push buses off the 74, turned 89 bus order for MTA Bus.
Earlier this week, several buses of the order were delivered to Spring Creek and NESF. Among them are 570-572, 575-579, 580, 583, 584, 589 and 600. Some within this batch have already been accepted, plated and ready to go into revenue service.
The assignment remains the same:
570-599 (30) – Spring Creek
600-643 (44) – College Point
644-658 (15) – UnassignedThe MTA has also exercised 15 buses from the second option order available. The assignment of those buses are unknown at this point. This will bring the C40LF count to a grand total of 474 buses, before the remaining 105 options from both orders are exercised. You can expect these set of buses to filter into service over upcoming weeks.

I have found a few photos on my computer:
These Busses are from Stagecoach in Hastings and Eastbourne. The photographs are taken at Pevensey Bay Rail Station: -
Die Oma 123: Die müssen aber sehr alt sein die Fotos. Als ich 2010 da war (schüersprachreise) fuhren da nur so moderne niederflurfahrzeuge (und doppeldecker schon garnicht) rum.

Osnabrücker, this is an english thread!
@Septa:could you post a photo of the new busses? It seems to be interesting
-
And now you have to translate in english!
-
Okay now the english version:
Osnabrücker
These pictures are from 2008. I prefered the old buses to the new ones because of the seats - they were much more comfortable than the new ones.Better???

I found some photos from around my town. Well, some more anyway.
One of the newest buses in McHarry's' fleet. McHarry's is one of two major bus operators in my city.
This bus is a Scania K280UB with an Express HLF body.
One of my most favourite photos I've ever taken. This is a photo of a Metro Melbourne Comeng train arriving into the seldom used East Richmond Station, close to the Melbourne CBD.
Another of Metro Melbourne's trains. This is a Siemens model train, one of four models in the fleet. This train is rounding the bend from Royal Park (Melbourne Zoo) Station into Jewel Station on the Upfield line.
Melbourne has many different bus operators. This particular bus operator, Moreland Bus Lines, comes from Brunswick in Melbourne's north. This bus, a familiar bus body to some, is a Mercedes-Benz OH1830 with an Irizar "Century 3500" body.
V/line is Victoria's rural passenger train and coach operator, who contract companies to operate their coach services throughout the state of Victoria. This particular bus, in the old V/line livery is seen here completing it's run to Bright in Victoria's Alpine Region. This bus is a 2009 Scania K420EB with a Coach Design body.Unlike buses in Europe and the UK, where chassis and body are made by the same company (i.e MAN Lion's City), Australian buses are made up of chassis and body. The chassis is brought over in buggy form from Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Scania, etc... and then bodied by the various different bus-body-builders we have in Australia. Two of the main body builders have recently (in the past few years) been brought by overseas companies.
This Mercedes Benz O500LE, owned by CDC Geelong (Benders) is sporting around a Volgren "CR228L" body. Volgren was owned by the Grenda family, who also ran Grenda's Buslines in Melbourne's east. In 2011 (?), Ken Grenda and associates made the decision to sell their multi-million dollar business. The bus company side of their company was brought by Ventura, another bus operator in Melbourne and the bus manufacturing side of the business (Volgren) was sold to overseas company Marcopolo.
This SmartBus liveried MAN 18.310, owned by NationalBus/Ventura, is sporting a Custom Coaches "CB80" body. This bus was almost brand new when I took this photo. Custom Coaches was Australian owned up until the 7th of June/July of last year, when Alexander Dennis (UK) brought Custom Coaches. Thankfully for both companies, their buses and branding have been retained through their new owners.I hope you've enjoyed my post and I've given you some insight into buses around my area.
Thanks,

Hello,
I've got a Little question to the Hungarians out there
I'm often in Györ and I saw that there are driving Ikarus, Raba (?) and Credo. Does anyone know a website where all buses of Györ are listed? Thank youAnd, I often see a strange MAN NL 202, TESCO-Repaint, no matrix, parts of the front are missing, it just drives (not in service) across the city with - hmm...ca. 60km/h. It seems that the driver have really fun
Does anyone know what's about this strange bus???Greets from Nuremberg

It is now safe to say - a certain era in public transport has ended in Warsaw, the Polish capital. Why? Yesterday it has joined two major groups of Polish cities:
a) with 100% low-floor bus service; and
b) with no Ikarus 2xx-series buses in service.
Although not recognized as much, the exploatation of Jelcz M181MB buses has also ended yesterday. After 35 years of continous exploatation, Warsaw has now ceased using the Ikarus buses, especially the 280 series, which has lasted until the very last day. The last bus to go on its last ride to the garage was a 280.70E #5715, which did the afternoon shift of board 705.04 on Friday, Nov 29. A picture of it entering the 4th bus garage at Stalowa St can be found here >> http://open.phototrans.net/14,…,Ikarus_280_70E_5715.html. Starting from 20:48 Friday evening, all buses running in Warsaw will be at least partially low-floor. And I don't think it will take too many years for the same to happen in the tram fleet, especially after the recent realisation of the "contract of the century", the supply of 186 low-floor PESA 120Na trams.
Cities in the Silesian conurbation are also planning to "exterminate" their Ikarus 2xx buses, with the exception of one company, by the end of this year. Thus, the only cities in Poland that I personally recall that will be still using Ikarus 280 buses in public, routed service, from January 1, 2014, are as follows:
> Bielsko-Biała (MZK)
> Częstochowa (MPK)
> Katowice (PKM)
> Kielce (MPK)> Opole (MZK)just said bye-bye to their Ik280s...
> Siedlce (MPK) ?
> Wrocław (MPK)
(in brackets - operator)
Although there might be some other cities that I don't know about.Either way. Much like in 2010 in my homecity, pretty much the day before yesterday, an icon of the public transport has really disappeared from our eyes.
