BMP and TGA is still better than JPEG or PNG, I personally use TGA, because it has a smaller size than BMP.

TGA is at least bigger than png. I personally use .dds - it has good quality, is smaller than bmp, tga or jpg an its ready to have alphachannels
-
I like TGA most, because i had too much trouble with DDS and Repaint Tool.

Does .dds have the same quality as .bmp? If so I will convert all textures to .dds but I have to be totally sure that there will be no loss in quality. -

This depends on the settings when you save the DDS. If you save them uncompressed (as is BMP) there's no loss of quality but the file size won't be smaller, either. Otherwise there might be a loss of quality, it just depends on the compression method you choose. However, since hard disk space is not a problem nowadays but CPU power is critical in OMSI, I would say you better save them uncompressed. -
-
True of course, but why compress them at all? Does it save any memory (RAM/GFX)?
-
Because of the texture-size, there is indeed a difference, whether 4MB or 12MB go through the data-ports(HDD -> VRAM).

CityBus.
Test it - I'm happy that I channged all textures of Freyfurt to .ddsAlready did it with one texture and it looked like there was no loss in quality. But sometimes I don`t see it the first time so I will do some more tests.

There are quite a lot of diff tools for images (e.g. a GIMP plugin). I never tried one of them myself but they may be helpful to you.

New video: lights test, new mirrors and some new things:

Congratulations KaJotT3D!
Shape and texture of the bus are very well done, i´m looking forward to see how the construction proceeds. -
This is video with new VDV dashboard from v3.0 Jelcz M125M:
In Citaro will be with more switches and with different lights
-
That dashboard is really nice. The most accurate at this time to be honest
Hopefully you're going to add as many switches as possible on the dash so that we all are able to customize the layout to our likingBTW: If you want a Voith or a ZF-Script, feel free to ask me.
-
Morphi: Am besten wäre dann der Euro 3 Motor.:)
-
Also ich würde ja eine ZF und eine Voith Version erstellen.
Das passt eher zum Bus. -
Naja es wird ja immer möglichkeiten zu geben, den sound zu verändern.
-
New video, version in has a "Aussenschwenktüren". I added "wagen hält" switch and some other elements.
-
Looks really good:)
