A mechanical problem with bellow (gelenk) on the coming NG272?

  • Hello dear devs and fans of OMSI!
OMSI is great! I do really love it, it's the greatest bus-simulating job I've ever seen! And it's really exciting that to see OMSI is now getting with its coming OMSI 2 which also features very realistic articulated bus (gelenkbus) support!

However, when I occasionally come to your developing video promotion of NG272, I've noticed some small details on the bellow motion. This is the video I watched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QhcCLXMzcM.

I think the problem is on a real articulated bus, the bellow (accordion) doesn't bend exactly like this way (I'm not quite sure how's NG272 built but this is common seen on Hueber/Ikarus/Jointech articulation system nowadays) -- say, the center point of the mid-bone of the bellow should be always on the center of joint point. So, the bellow is more outwards on the middle bone when the bus bends out.

Please refer to this video (view here: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzkxMjgzMzg4.html ), which is simply simulated by me on an MB (without details on folding pages but already restored major mechanical features include mid-bone, balancing, anti-jackknifing, dumping and air-suspension etc), and I think this would explain my idea more clearly for you.

The affair I described can be found on many real buses in real life. Check out this video for instance: http://youtu.be/qcugrcioKXQ (start at 0:45) and notice the mid-bone of the bellow.
I don't sure if this problem applies to NG272 so if I'm mistaking it please help me correct, thanks!

    Thanks for your attention!
    Lots of appreciations.
