OMSI 2 issues/problems/comments

    Thanks for the reply. I take it that this bug will be patched? BTW, that game is brilliant and i can't really play it without them which is annoying but I can wait for a patch!

  • I asked our beta testers: No one of them who answered experiences this bug anymore.
    But if I'm honest, we did not investigate this bug for 2.2. I think it was solved in one of the earlier public patches.
    My assumption: Your problem COULD be caused by other reasons. You could backup your OMSI directory and try out the Steam repair function, just in case missing or corrupted files are the reason. Just try it and feel free to ask again.

  • Do you mean the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button in properties? If so I've already tried that and the same problem still persists. I might try re installing the game via Steam to see if it's a broken game file that Steam can't pick up for some strange reason. Thanks for the support,

    EDIT : I just tried the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button again and it came up saying 285 files failed to validate and will be reacquired. I don't really know what this means but I may now try to re install the game completely. Of course I have no saved data to lose so it doesn't bother me.

  • After updating OMSI 2 via Steam, I have problems with the ALMAX of Citaro Euro 6, of the DLC Drei Generationen. Here´s some pictures of my problem. Does anybody know how to solve it?

    After updating to version 2.2 there are lots of errors in both the original maps and official/unofficial addons.
    Most noticeable one is that articulated AI buses have their rear part bouncing around or dropping below the ground,
    which isn't present prior to the update to version 2.2.


    And the maps Hamburg day and night is unplayable anymore.
    I have followed the recommended settings in the manual yet the map are most promptly to crash when it reaches either end of the journey,
    like HBF or UAL.
    Buildings either become white, or everything disappear and the game freezes with a D3D Dx9 error.


    The game seems to lag a lot when compared to version 2.1


    Below is my computer's basic specs, hope it helps fixing the bugs.

    GPU: ATI 7970 with 6GB RAM

  • I have also heard that some OMSI2 players can play some maps at V2.1, but after updating to V2.2, some maps became more lagging than before, or the bus can "dauce" more easily than before. Seems the V2.2 update is more worse than V2.1 update.

    I played with the game again today and have attached the log file, which is quite long below.
    I was playing hamburg day and night. Everything became lost and only the blue sky remains before the game finally crashes and refuse to close.
    I can open the options menu, but whenever I select quit game there will be some random error messages.

  • Hamburg Day & Night is not standard content. Do you have problems using original Spandau or Grundorf? If so, please attach a logfile.


    Hamburg is being sold as DLC on Aerosoft & Steam, therefore one would assume it's standard content.


    Also, many of these errors involving addons are still the fault of the game engine and not the addon author.

    There indeed ARE problems with the engine. The only way to have a deeper look and solve them is to use standard content in order to reproduce the problem on developer systems.

    Yes Spandau works now (mostly), but that's because that's all you've focused on. I could use assets only from the base game, and generate freezes and crashes. Yes it's not Spandau, but it's resources from the base game just setup in a different way.


    Don't take me to be hostile, I love and adore OMSI.. it just has it problems, which I don't doubt you're working on. It's a shame you don't offer a public beta, and bug triaging system which would probably help move things along even faster. I'm sure there are many of us that would gladly report bugs and how to reproduce them.

    Also there's the fact that it freezes on an SSD and i7 for numerous seconds at times whilst loading in new tiles and AI traffic and suffers poor framerate, but I take it these issues will never be resolved.


    There's the fact that the passengers walk straight through objects, sometimes shake repeatedly before they enter the bus, AI traffic doesn't respond to traffic rules and will gladly pull out on you.


    Oh and why do I have to use this 4GB patch to get things to work? Can you not make the game large address aware?

  • Since the latest patch I frequently get crashes when trying to quit OMSI 2. This happens on all maps. I have to quit OMSI 2 with the task manager.
    The error messages vary each time. Here was the last one: 1075 20:51:47 - - Error: Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 007504D8 in Modul 'Omsi.exe'. Lesen von Adresse 0000014C: SPS.3
