Well I've explained in the other thread my methods on getting sounds into the simulator. Hopefully someone on this forum will take it and perfect upon that. I have no idea how to create a flatten out sound of a whine, yet still retain its pitch. Even if I were to slow down the sound, then the pitch of the sound would change.
Don't count on me on releasing one million different kinds of sound variants, I just do not have the time for that!! I do not mind helping if it means to create new sound triggers and whatnot, but audio editing isn't my niche. I can point people towards the variables which usually are needed to control the sounds, but that should be pretty self explanatory as outlined within the sound.cfg files.
Now to make an absolute understanding, the sound of the Ecomat Iis is not based off of the Sl202. However, they are based off of the SEPTA 2004 New Flyer buses with the ZF 6HP-592, sorry for the fail but given to the sounds I already have, they better fit that of an New Flyer. I love to use the sounds of the sl202, but the whole thing is, getting OMSI to reiterate these sounds is a pain in the butt. I simply lack the experience and knowledge in sound editing to take a dynamic pitch of sound and localized it to just a constant single pitch. Doing a engine sound file is way more simple considering all you need is loaded sounds, and unloaded sounds (When the bus is not accelerating).
