    - Nothahn-Regelung verbessert
    - Haltewunschüberlagerung auf Festellbremssymbol beseitigt
    - Tür 3 Piepen nun 3x statt 2x
    - ZF4HP Performance etwas angehoben

    - Fehlermeldungen beim VÖV O405N2 beseitigt

  • A few more minor improvement suggestions pertaining to the Citaros (patches, where provided, derive from v. 4.4).

    1. Front door wing locking and status displaying logic

When the state of the wing locking switch (tuersperre_sw) is modified while the front door is itself in the process of being adjusted (i.e., it is opening or closing), occasionally various little quirks manifest, such as "desynchronization" between the wings' target states, or triggering of both opening and closing sounds at the same time. Additionally, the VDV display does in such cases not accurately depict the wings' status, only predicating it from the state of the wing locking switch.

The proposed changeset reduces the number of available operations in exchange for more well-defined behavior. Specifically, when at least one door wing is open, the revised door script fragment given below restricts the next available operation to closure of those wings, regardless of the wing locking switch's state; only when both wings are closed does the tuersperre setting affect the next allowed operation. The operation itself is recorded as the doorlock_mode variable, which the VDV then consults in order to correctly render both the wing(s) that are actually open, as well the 'X' icon indicating locking.

I should note that, albeit being more stable, I cannot assert that this is how wing locking is actually implemented in the Citaro. All I can say based on past observations is that, more or less, this is how it used to function in the O405 series.

    2. Stop brake release condition - second door

Under manual second door configuration, when the second door is opened at non-zero velocity, and whilst throttling, the stop brake is engaged and instantly released again. This happens because the release condition (in DoorAftCalc) is evaluated before the door's position's update (in Door(2|3)_Calc); and since the former only evaluates door state based on position, it always, under mentioned conditions, yields true (because, position-wise, the door is still closed at that instant). Therefore, the release condition should additionally ensure that the door's target state (doorTarget_23) is zero as well.

    3. Door opening vs closing maximum velocity

In the real world, the vehicle must typically (nearly) stop for door opening to be allowed. However, assuming the door is not coupled to the stop brake, this is not necessarily the case when it comes to closure. It would thus be convenient for door closure to be independent of the tueoeffnung constant, with a separately configurable value (or none at all) being used instead.

On a similar note, I think that the stop brake should not be re-engaged upon door closure; it normally should already be active at that point anyway, and if it is not (due to some sort of failure having previously occurred), it can as well be assumed that the vehicle is already moving, and forcing it to stop abruptly cannot be considered safe either (playing a warning sound instead would perhaps be a better alternative).

    4. Hatch operation constraints

I believe that hatches should not be operable when electrics are switched off. It would furthermore be nice if their animations' speed were reduced, such that adjustment takes (roughly) as long as playback time of the corresponding sound.

    5. Schulfahrschalter-triggered indicator initialization

Contrary to the rest of the indicator-related functions, which cause indicators to start blinking immediately upon their activation, the Schulfahrschaltung one's start-up is delayed. I don't know whether this is intentional, but just in case it is not, here's a simple fix:
