i only compared this argumentation pattern to OMSI which had problems and performance issues in OMSI 1 (even though it wasn't as bad as in OMSI 2) and OMSI 2 aswell
The problems in OMSI and OMSI 2 are made by the various addon content. When you kick everything related to omsi off your computer and you reinstall OMSI, you won't have any problems at all. So the main game does work correctly. If you install a bunch of mods, you'll get more errors based on the way of creation, the addon author used. In OMSI you have the ability to change important entries and these changes cause errors.
So the conclusion is, that the way of creating and modifying addons should be regulated and there should be a version control system to support several versions of addons. This is the solution for the most problems in OMSI. Also these problems aren't caused by OMSI itself, so I can't see your point here.
Last but not least:
LOTUS - so far presented with serious performance issues and an omsi look-alike)
i'm asking myself every time how someone knows what a game will be like after seeing a handful of pictures or early pre-alpha footage.
Glad to see, that you answered your own worries.
