  • Hello,

I'm finalizing some things on my map, and yet, one thing bothers me about AI vehicle assignments despite, I think, a good setting from me.

Indeed, during the first 30 minutes of play, or even the first 45 minutes, the vehicles AI have many repaints which I attributed to them. However, after 45 minutes, I noticed that some AI vehicles no longer have the livery, they become either:
    - all black, and when one approaches very near them, they find their normal livery
    - basic delivery, in the case of the MAN NÜ of Chrizzly, it is the livery BVG which is on it.

Still, I put a sufficient number for AI vehicles on the ailists.cfg file, I do not understand why it does this after 30 minutes. I would like the liveries to be taken into account from the beginning to the end of my game.

I am attaching my file ailists.cfg:

You may find that I do not use the plate and the park number, unnecessary for me since the textures park numbers and plaques are directly performed on the repaints for more customization.

Anyone would know how to fix this worry that bothered me enough?

    Thank you.

  • Good evening,

Nobody knows about this problem? There is no way to solve it? It bothers me a lot. I could not afford to publish my map in such conditions.

  • I am just a OMSI-internals beginner...so...a rookie

    :S

    .

But I might have one idea, why all went fine for a while, until black/fall-back-to-default-repaint.
    Could it be a video-memory-size issue ?

I mean, all has been loaded up fine in memory....repaints are working.
The you are driving around the map, and during driving...more and more textures+repaints are loaded in video-memory.
I don't know how OMSI reacts, when it comes to low-video-memory issue.
    Maybe using "memory-cheap" default-repaints are some kind of a OMSI-internal pre-caution-logic.

Another idea...but this does not explain, why it works for a while, and then stops:
There are some "special...non-pure-ASCII" characters within you AI-list...I don't know if this might lead to problems.
Again...I am an OMSI rookie...just sharing my thoughts...

  • Good evening,

First of all, thank you for your reply! I was feeling alone !

Despite your lack of knowledge about the game, I tried to follow your advice but without success. I think the game is like that, a bit capricious at times. I will have to bear this, but it is very disturbing for the publication of my map.

If anyone has an idea yet, do not hesitate!

    Thank you!!

  • Hello,

I attach two screens to illustrate my problem:

When the bus is far enough away from me, it gives:

But when he comes closer, the repaint appears:

Do you have any idea how to fix this?

    Thank you

  • As far as I see it, this is a common OMSI bug for which (as far as I am aware) there is no fix at the moment. It usually occurs after a longer period of time in the game in connection with performance-demanding or more complex maps. In case your map is already rather far in development you should maybe consult your selected beta testers and see whether they encounter the same issue as you. However, as already stated, there is no fix for this issue and its occurence is rather different and varies from system to system.

  • Thank you for your reply! I see, I suspected that this bug came from Omsi and seems impossible to settle. But I want to be sure.

I will ask my beta-testers questions, thanks to you!
