Details: The Ikarus 395 (or E95 after 1997) was an intercity bus produced by Ikarus Special Coach Factory in Budapest (EAG = Egyedi Autóbuszgyár = Special Coach Factory), from 1992 until 2005 (incl. facelift in 2001).
The bus that is being presented here is the 395.12 subtype, the pre-facelift model. It was built on Scania chassis and is powered by a 300 HP Scania DSC11-16 engine and fitted with a 7+1 speed Scania ComfortShift GR801 gearbox. It was (and is still) widely used by different Volán companies in Hungary, but the features and appearence of the 395 series made it fit well into international and tourist coach service as well. During the 13 years of production a total of 645 buses left the factory.
