THE ISSUE
Whenever I try to put a manual bus into gear, it never goes into gear. The gearstick moves then it goes back instantly, and plays a creaking sound as if I don't have the clutch pressed.
I tried:
- Holding TAB for clutch then pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned ON
- Holding TAB for clutch then pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned OFF
- Holding TAB for clutch, revving engine then pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned ON
- Holding TAB for clutch, revving engine then pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned OFF
- Revving engine then pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned ON
- Revving engine then pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned OFF
- Pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned ON
- Pressing gear with the keyboard, with "Automatic Clutch" option turned OFF
- Using a different keyboard, then restarting OMSI
- Not using my controller and unplugging it, then restarting OMSI
- Verifying integrity of game cache via Steam
- Using an older version of OMSI 2 (2.3.032)
- Deleting options.cfg, resetting all settings of the game
- A completely fresh install of OMSI 2, in a brand new folder
- Allowing brake pressure to build up by revving the engine
- Allowing brake pressure to build up by leaving the game running for hours
- Releasing the handbrake
- Ensuring the bus is in neutral beforehand
- Ensuring the engine is fully on
- Many many many different manual busses:
-- Toyota Land Cruiser
-- Ford Transit
-- Leyland Fleetline
-- Ikarus EAG
-- Setra S319 UL
-- Citybus i280
-- All other manual busses released. Had this issue since 2016.
Nothing helps, it just doesn't work, and I have absolutely no idea why. I am certain I am doing everything correct on my end.
All help is widely appreciated.
