It's been quite a long time since I have updated this thread and a lot has changed since my previous update on the map. Cranleigh is currently in later stages of beta testing and almost ready for release.
A few months back I did a timelapse of the 300 however my driving is quite bad so one of my beta testers Moskie redid the timelapse and the map has changed quite a bit since then.
[External Media: https://youtu.be/Xj-NL3Dyfhg]
The final routes of the map are the following
- 3 - Cranleigh High Street to Adlington Park and Ride
- 17 - Royal Surrey Hospital to Herefield Station
- 18 - Cranleigh High Street to Downfleet Preston Gardens
- 300 - Cranleigh High Street to Adlington Park and Ride (Direct)
- 442 Cranleigh Railway Station to Oldmere Station.
- Unilink - Cranleigh Railway Station to Burnham Retail Park via University
The majority of the work recently has been optimising the entire map and making minor improvements wherever possible. Especially around the city centre which had quite extensive work done to improve framerate wherever possible. It does need a bit more work and some some people may need to lower your settings especially if you have a low-end PC.
Anyway here's a few screenshots
There's a few bits and bobs that need to be done. And im trying to get Cranleigh released as soon as I can.

1. Which version of OMSI 1 or OMSI 2 is being used?
OMSI 2
2. How often does the problem occur and how? (Error message, but playable / Crash / Freeze / ...)
When loading a certain tiles. Splines disappear however certain splines textures turn white. This only happens during night times.
3. Which action leads to the problem? (Place a new bus / Driving on schedule / ...)
Changing the time to night or late evening or early morning.
4. Which content was used? (Map, busses, ...)
Various
5. Which mods or plugins were used? (SweetFX, ...)
None
6. Logfile in spoiler or attached
Is attached
7. System information (OS, RAM, CPU, ...)
intel I7-8700
32 GB Ram
GTX1070
So I'm having this weird problem which only affect 1 or 2 tiles and it seems to spread.
During night time splines disappear on 1 or 2 tiles in the same area and then some splines including splines that has grass, is an invisible spline or a terrain spline would appear but in white as you can see in the screenshot below
https://gyazo.com/6ad24f2fbdfd66f6feeaea4d048fa49e
However it's fine during the day time.
https://gyazo.com/d2b6a0164fec9527ee202a2043aff951
Additionally there is a loading screen when I approach that certain tile in a bus regardless of the tile count setting. It still loads that certain tiles. I already had a similar situation on another tile in my map and I originally thought that tile had been corrupted and removed that tile and placed a new tile in that same area however it's seemed to spread to another tile. I've already tried generating a new lightmaps deleting all the lightmaps in the map folder, removing entrypoints and there is no IDC conflicts or invalid splines child and parents in the map.

So the last update of Cranleigh was 6 months ago. And the last proper update was back in January. Yes, I posted screenshots of Cranleigh on my Facebook page and on the forums. But because of life and load, things happened between then and now including uni exams and uni stuff. I've only found time recently to work on Cranleigh. There still a long way to go before the map is complete however I did overhaul older parts of the map.
Town Centre
The town centre needed to be rebuilt again. The new city centre is based on Dunfermline, Reading and Winchester rather than Guildford. It's larger than the original and should be fewer fps demanding. It's not finished and needs to be expanded.Woodbridge High St
Woodbridge High street was made in February I was going to showcase this earlier but for the explained reasons earlier I didn't. The route 424 goes past this stop on it's way to Cranleigh or Oldmere.Adlington P+R
Adlington Park and Ride needed to be overhauled. The old car park wasn't realistic or finished and the fields and flora surrounding the area weren't that good. This new version includes an improved layout and better flora. And easier to turn artics around.Burnham
Burnham is getting an overhaul, the road layout is not going to change much but I've started working on a shared space scheme for Burnham. It should be interesting to navigate the area round. In the meantime, I removed the shops when approaching the roundabout and replaced with a commercial premisesMerton Industrial Estate.
Merton Industrial estate is being optimised, This area pre optimisation was really heavy and my system is quite decent but it was struggling to load this area. I'm going to try to improve the area over the next few days.Route 424
This is going probably longest route in version 1 of Cranleigh. This route isn't run by CK but by ArrivaBelow are few screenshots of some of the areas that this route covers. That's pretty much it for this update. Hopefully, the next update won't be in 6 months time probably in a few weeks or so. There are other areas I've improved or overhauled but I'm going to keep that surprise for the released version of Cranleigh.

Happy new year all. Over the past few months and over the Christmas holidays, I have been working on and off on Cranleigh. And there are a few changes but there is still a long way to go before Cranleigh is finally completed.
Herefield
Herefield is located North of Cranleigh town centre and is really close to the city boundary. Currently, 421 which is the Arriva Sapphire route that goes between Cranleigh and Oldmere and the 32 Terminates at Herefield High Street as seen in the Header Image. Herefield isn’t finished yet and there is a lot of work that is needed before it actually completed.
Fish Hill
Fish Hill is a steep hill located north of Herefield. The 421 is the only bus route that goes up this hill however it’s quite steep. So, you might struggle to get up this hill with some buses. Past Fish Hill is mostly Rural roads towards Adlington. This area is almost complete however I need to make a few improvements.
Merton
Merton is 15 mins drive from the Town Centre. Famous for its massive church and railway viaduct. Several routes go through Merton going to various destinations. Again this area needs a few more improvements before it’s actually finished which I intend to do at some point.
Merton Industrial Estate
Finally, another area that I had to revisit is Merton Industrial Estate. The old one felt a bit off and I ended up having rebuild parts of it again, but this new revision looks nicer.
Also thanks to, Whiskey Stuffs for his amazing Repaints that he created for Cranleigh. His recent reskins are absolutely stunning.

Hey all, It's been over a month since the last update a lot of things have happened since the last update and now but here is a preview video of Cranleigh.
[External Media: [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzW9LB008Yo[/url] ]
The U1 is finally finished after several weeks of work. It takes approx 20-25 mins depending on traffic levels, From the bus station to the university. The screenshot above is the university main building and the terminus for the U1. Also, the corner is really tight when you head back towards the town centre.
The university also has its own segregated cycleway.
Finally a screenshot of the university square. The U1 Itself is finished however I will need to go back and optimise and polish the entire route as well as fix any bugs or problems that I have encountered on the route. Moreover, I'm going to look at the 3 route again because they are some issues with the route which need to be fixed before the final release.Since the last update, I was working on another route called the 27 which is a route that starts from the town centre and ends at a housing estate and goes through Merton retail park and an industrial estate.
Whilst I was building the 27 route, I needed to make changes to Merton industrial estate again and also gave me a chance to rework Stamford roundabout. As you can see it's in a better condition compared to the previous version.
Since the last update, I was working on another route called the 27 which is a route that starts from the town centre and ends at a housing estate and goes through Merton retail park and an industrial estate.
Some of the crossings in Merton have been reworked so they use fewer splines compared to the original. They are few more crossing that is in the process of being reworked or needs to be reworked at some point.
Before I can continue any more development they are some issues with the map currently in regards invalid splines that need to be fixed. Additionally, I will need to remove some excess tiles and some optimisation because the map is heavy on FPS in some areas before I can move on to working on other routes. Additionally, I am planning to make changes to the depot, town centre and Burnham because the quality could be a lot better
-
The route 3 is finally finished and needs to be optimised before the final release, however, today update about the university route. The U1 runs between Bus Station to Cranleigh University via Hemel Green Roundabout and is approximately 20 min long. There is a lot of work that still needs to be done with this route. This includes adding details and optimising performance since its a bit heavy on the FPS currently.
The first screenshot is a U1 at University about head back to the Bus Station.
University entrance.
Looking down Chaseside Road.
And finally, Bury Street which is located on the western side of city centre.
WhiskeyStuffs has done a fantastic job in updating the reskins for Cranleigh and they look marvellous. -
Recently I have been making some progress since the last update. Additionally, route 3 is almost complete. I have been polishing and making adjustments to the entire route from adding details to the road-side to adjusting pathing. Currently what's left is some adjustments to the splines, scenery objects and textures.
Also, some of the more densely packed areas have been updated. Also added a residential backdrop.
Late evening in Cranleigh Town Centre.
And finally some shots of Adlington with a few subtle changes.
So the next lines I will be working once the 3 is completed are U1 and 27. U1 is a University bus route from Cranleigh Bus Station to the University and the route 27 is a circular goes around Merton retail park/industrial estate and then through a couple of estates located near and next to the river. I will go into those routes into more detail in the next update.

Name of project: Cranleigh [Fictional]
Involved persons: Oainientk3 (tkink317), Rob_Devs, Whiskey .Stuffs
External aid required: No at the moment
Estimated construction time: A very long time.
Project details: Cranleigh is a fictional town set in the south-east of England and is based on the towns of Guildford, Crawley and Basingstoke. Services within Cranleigh are handled by Cranleigh Konnections and Arriva Southern Counties. The Route 3 is one of the busiest services linking Cranleigh Train Station, Cranleigh Town Centre and Adlington P+R. With services running up to 10 mins at peak hours. I am planning to expand the map to include a couple additional routes also there are some areas of the map are being reworked because the quality wasn't up to scratch.
