Bitte beachte, dass OMSI nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird. Ein Teil der Entwickler widmet sich inzwischen der Entwicklung eines neuen Simulators. Weitere Informationen zum LOTUS-Simulator findest Du hier.

Building the system is one thing...affording it is another. This is what I can afford for now. But I'm looking into getting a desktop for $575 and getting OMSI and all my other stuff off my laptop. I know laptops are horrible for gaming, but also I need a laptop for school.

To everyone...especially john234...here's a link to my additions. I did not want to post them here because I did not want it to seem as if I am disrespecting Erik. http://m-r-software.de/omsi/fo…age=Thread&threadID=25136

So, my logfile...opened it in Microsoft Word...677 pages. Apparently, it goes over the 500K character limit, so I have a link to the file. Here it is. To save just two seconds out of the few hours to read this, the problem starts at number 365.

When add-ons are rushed, they're pretty bad. A lot of bugs, a couple of patches and updates put out. It's pretty much in the public beta phase. But when a product is rushed, it's a completely different story. I have a feeling that the release of OMSI 2 was rushed. I would have waited a year, year and a half, two years for it to be released. Yeah, all the articulated buses would then be put out even later, but still, there probably would not be so many problems as there are now.
I just experienced my first jumping bus in OMSI 2 just two days ago. It was default bus I placed on the Spandau Xtreme Gold map for the three lines something-37. I was excited at first to get the map to load without problems on the first try after finding some instructions on how to convert these maps specifically. And after having the older Xtreme maps with line 337 and line M32 and others, I couldn't wait to try the Gold edition. But...lo, and behold, the frame rate dips below 10 fps and the bus starts to jump.
This is the second disappointment. The first was coming home after an terribly harsh fall semester to a extremely unstable OMSI 2, and now this: coming home after a challenging spring semester to a not-as-but-still-very-unstable OMSI 2. Not all of the promises were kept. This just shows that OMSI 2 came out way too early.
This was supposed to be my reward of some sort. And now, I go back away for the fall semester in less than a week. So, again I wait until the end of the fall semester. Hopefully by then more issues and problems will be fixed and solved.

Title says what the problem is. When I drive on the Xtreme Gold map, the volume of the engine of an AI bus is very high, and does not fade when I get farther from it.
EDIT: Never asked the question I had...sorry...what settings should I change? Or is it a sound card issue? What could it be? I don't want to have to turn the AI Vehicles sounds off, is there another way?
-
Not sure if it's that, since it happens to different buses every time.

You'll have to make an add-on. There are some add-ons available, just do some searching. Google it, or find something here. Might not be in left hand traffic, but there is something out there. The game isn't just limited to Germany. There are Hungarian maps, Polish maps, there's a payware Austrian map...

Question is: how do I display letter and numbers as a line number, for example X92, on the matrix display?
-
Any other help with this? I still have this problem.
-
Actually, here's the problem. If the line number has a letter in it, for example X33, it does not work. For other lines it works. So now, we just have to figure out how to make this work for lines with letters in it.

Okay, I just read the manual again. For the 1992 it says this:
ZitatYou can also enter a target code manually with ”Sonderziel“. The list of all codes is mounted above the windshield. It is now also possible to enter a course (”Kurs”) number. This would be e.g. 09201 for line 92 in Berlin-Spandau. Using a course number means stations need to be advanced manually with the arrow keys.
ZitatOn all other maps (not Hamburg) you have to enter the line and target code or course number manually to activate a tour. Use the black key "Li-Krs Weg" to enter the line/target code menu.
This is just to "activate the tour", but I don't see anything with automatic announcements. This is also the same with the 1999. I still have to announce manually. I can't get any to work. -
-
I still needed to announce manually even with a timetable. But I will try again soon.

Darius: This is from the manual about the 1999 bus:
ZitatOn all maps other than "Hamburg Day & Night", you can enter a random tour number like "1".
The printer will automatically recognize the activated OMSI timetable.
You can now also use a course ("Kurs") number, e.g. 09201 for line 92 in Berlin Spandau. This will active station announcements, but you will have to forward stations manually by clicking the arrow keys on the printer.
So, the 1999 bus does not have automatic announcements on other maps then. -
Even better: scroll to the bottom of the first post for the fix, 2.72. http://m-r-software.de/omsi/fo…age=Thread&threadID=12005

Thanks, but actually I just have to minimize the whole program. Just discovered this. I appreciate your response though.
-
This is just something I noticed. Every time I change windows from out of the editor to another program (ex. Google Chrome, Excel, Notepad, Spotify...any program) OMSI editor still recognizes keystrokes. So, for example, if I were to type something into a program with the letter G, which is the grab object key, and then move my mouse to click something, it moves whatever object I had selected around and I would never know unless I see that it obviously moved. This gets really frustrating because when this happens, I have to restart the editor without saving every time.

@Schnaki Thanks for the link! You should have mentioned it was your repaint! I'll try and go somewhere in between though. I found some pictures of old buses in Szczecin and the red was just a tad lighter than your red. So, I'll mix the two, but it'll be closer to your red than the red I found on the other repaint I took it from. Thanks again!
@JunGRail Thanks for the props!
