In Dalmacija it was still a mix of random trees and i am not very satisfied,here are some pics of my new wip map:
It's almost the way that I've planned the scenery of the lines 9372 and 9374 (these ones, which are placed on Santarém district, or in the case of the 9372, the 9372X and 9374X (the latter two are expresses), has one of the terminii). I think that I can make an similar scenery on the part of the Santarém District, and keeping the Lisbon district zone an hybrid of German and Portuguese.
By the way, thank you for the recommendation!
-
- Special thanks to Teutonic for the recommendation and the images of his new project of Starigrad, which will provide some inspiration for the next sections of the map (the routes 9372 and 9374, mostly placed in a similar region in Portugal (the Santarém District), aswell for the Dalmacija Fictional, which I've made a run today and inspired me to modify the Porto da Boa Viagem section of the 9371, giving a more Atlantic, not mediterranic (sorry) aspect to the zone (as seen on the photos below), and to giving me an idea for what I going to do to the section of the route 9373. So, Good luck to Teutonic and it's new map Starigrad! (sorry for a bit of off topic here).
- The process of creating traffic signals is now advancing with the creation of the roundabout signals, which will give a more "Portuguese" style to the roundabouts of this map, which is been using roudabouts of Great Grundorf v2, and giving a un-needed British style to the map. By tomorrow some other signals will be retextured.
- The section of the Porto da Boa Viagem has been modified, as seen to the photos below. The objective was to give more "atlanticity" for the zone, removing the pines and backdrops used previously.- The section of Vila Franca, Estação Central will be also modified to add more mediterranical pines and trees, thus replacing the original ones placed on that place. A thing that will be made after the scenerization of the sections and locations of the routes 9372 and 9374 being completed.

I am glad you took my advice,it looks very nice,oh and btw dont use that water texture,there is a much prettier seamless one on textures.com here
and it is seamless tooDone. Here are the photos after changing the water texture (sorry for being quite repetitive, but this photos showcase the changes made), making also imrpvements on sea rocks sections, thus improving in overall, the Porto da Boa Viagem zone :D:
Other news: The road signs will start to be textured (and constructed, with some of them with the model already done) tomorrow (these hot days of 35ºC constrained me to do that), with the scenerization of both 9372 and 9374 to start in August 18th to 20th.
-
- Started today the scenerization of the routes 9372 and 9374 section, with the addiction of a 432nd tile - for adding some scenerization context (not for adding a railroad section (little fact - the number may go up to 440 tiles because of the railroad feature in some sections, and in Alto da Boa Viagem v2.0 (will be set in 2013, with other company), the count may go up to 525 with the planned creation of the line 9375, but details will be announced later after the release (because I do not want to make any prognostics));
- The trees will be almost totally different from the used (only one will share the 9371 and 9372/74 sections), with the usage of more proper trees in the section between Vila Franca and the Tagus River Bridge, in the Lisbon-Santarém Border. After that, another style of scenerization will be used;
- Made an pre-overhaul in Vila Franca Area to add more details (added a "ladder" hill to insert more trees and thus improving overall detaileration: changed a terrain texture to be more compliant with my feelings for this specific map);
- The inserction of the majority of the traffic lights, signals and bus stops (this one element is still missing) was delayed for after the completion of the scenerization of the routes 9372 and 9374. The objective with this delay was to have more than one route with these features, so the delay for getting the scenerization work done was my only option. So, I apologize for any inconvenience;
- About the traffic & road signals, the work is already underway, with the model itself of some signals already completed (these bus testings and the Volvo B59-55V modelling in blender consumed for me too much time! :P);
- Screenshots will be published on August 22nd, showcasing the current state of the scenerization of the map. -
As promised, here is some screenshots (in editor) of the first sections scenerized of the routes 9372 and 9374, some are before the grass texture change (again: the one on the 1st secreenshots not satisfied myself, for being the main grass texture for this map. I know that is repetitive, but at least I'm experimenting various of these textures to see what one really matches the map scenery). This screenshot publication also includes the "pre-overhaul" of Vila Franca zone and the "432nd Tile" section, aswell the scenerization of the sections of these two routes, after Vila Franca, near midway of the road which will give access to the next location: Colónia de Mecha.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screenshot on spotlight: the elevations in this zone was changed in form to be more comfortable to users which use more than one neighboring tiles, aswell to make possible an higher level of detailing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Additional screenshots taken on 2016-08-23: Agricultural zone (more one, this zone of the country is one of the most productive at agricultural level). Here it is an much improved (vs. 9371 zones) detaileration on that type of zones:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Additional ones referring to the final scenerization works of the inter-section between Vila Franca and Colónia de Mecha, including an dynamic test (on game):

Hello everyone, after having an complete, but short, pause in my map, mostly because of the testings of Mercedes-Benz O 307 v2 (which will be also the new standard AIs for this map - by now, the rollband versions only), the news about Alto da Boa Viagem are already here!
- The section between Vila Franca and Colónia de Mecha (Estrada Nacional 112-5) is now finally completed (stated of August 25th), which you've seen on the screenshot publication, and, by seeing the screenshots, added terrain elevations (some mountains), which wered edited to be more naturally in comparison to the ones used on the tunnel of Vila Franca.
- Colónia de Mecha was finally scenerized on August 27th, with an large square (Praça da Meia Laranja), aswell with an park (which is not concluded yet), and bus-only lanes, to make easier for the routes 9372, 9372X and 9374X going through to either Vila Franca, Almeirim ou S. José.
- The section between Colónia de Mecha and the Lisbon-Santarém Border is 85% completed and the work is stated to be finished on August 31st.
- The HOF file for this map was now modified to be compliant to the aforementioned Mercedes-Benz O 307 v2, aswell the rollsigns were converted to this particular bus, from the older version O 307. -
After an pause, the map news are now here!
- Concluded the Lisbon District zone, the time is now to scenerize (1st phase) the Santarém District area. This was done on the Porto Alto town, which crosses the routes 9372, 9372X and 9374X, and is the southbound terminus the route 9374, which scenerization have been now totally completed, with the scenerization of the area of split of the routes 9372 and 9374 being stated to be completed on September 10th. As promised, the scenerization in the specific region follows a different pattern of the Lisbon district in questions of nature scenery and objects used.
- The Mercedes-Benz O 307 v2 Matrix will also be part of the main fleet of the map, after an complete (more than a simple conversion, please!) overhaul of the HOF files, maintaining the rollband version compatibility (rollsigns) totally intact. The repaints were also made, resembling the buses of the v1.2.1 (with a litle bonus).
- An screenshot publication (in-game, not in-editor) is stated to occur in September 8th, for unveiling the detailed scenery until that period. -
As promised, AND one day before the scheduled, the screenshots are here (total to be published: 11) :D!
The screenshots cover the scenerization procedures between Colónia de Mecha (with the park of the Praça da Meia Laranja and the Parque Industrial areas) and the Porto Alto region. Technical Information: The screenshots were made in game, not in editor. -
Here it comes the Alto da Boa Viagem Map Building News update of 2016-09-19 (September 19th, 2016):
- Finally, the map have now its traffic densities to be determined, at least from Colónia de Mecha to Almeirim or to S. José da Lamarosa. The sections from Estação Central to Colónia de Mecha and from other positions will be determined later. The density will be an lower one, also for adding more FPS to the map (is in certain zones, very detailed);
- After Porto Alto, the map scenerization and detailing, will follow the line 9372 path (or is heading to Almeirim), and the next stop in scenerization process will be Castanheira (in tribute to Castanheira do Ribatejo, an location, not in Santarém District, but in Lisbon District, which, however, shares much of the cities in the Santarém District). It'll be completed on September 25th-26th.
- An screenshot publication will be made on October 1st or 2nd, showcasing the progresses on the map. -

- The scenerization of Castanheira was completed today, one day before the predicted, after that, is now going to be scenerized the zone of the Hospital Central and Salvaterra (will be used the objects from the Citybus O305 add-on (of the Neuendorf map), a process which will be completed in the 1st quarter of October;
- The screenshot publication will be delayed to October 2nd, because of the (planned) purchase and testing of the Citybus O305G (finally, I'll got that add-on! :D) articulated bus add-on, which will be part of the map, using the Bahnbus mod (but with an CP livery). The articulated bus, the Mercedes-Benz O 305 G with the StÜLB front and the aforementioned Bahnbus mod will be used on the line 9372 local (the largest one and the most crowded one) at rush hours and in some holidays (via modification of timetable and AI-List), as AI-list option, with the O307 v2.0 as standard AI-list. The DE60LF of Chicago Downtown Add-on will remain as AI-list option. -
As promised, here it is the screenshot publication promised to this day, using the O 305 G Bahnbus! There're 14 photos in this publication, covering the zone between Porto Alto and Salvaterra, also crossing Castanheira.

Alto da Boa Viagem Map Building News update of 2016-10-12:
- After an unexpected stop (I was sick, sorry), the map scenerization is inching towards the second to the last location of the line 9372 to start the scenerization procedures (1st phase, there'll be more two): Brás do Canavial, an medium-sized village with an very important court (yes, you've heard right, an court which serves the southwestern portion of Santarém district). The scenerization procedures will start on October 14th to end on October 17th-18th. Later, the path will follow to the last place of the line 9372: the town of Almeirim, with an imponent monastery, the biggest of the SW (is southwest) Santarém district, bringing to a close the 1st phase of the prodcedures of scenerization of the sections of the line 9372 (TBD);
- Later, the construction of the map will move right to Blender, to finish the roadsigns, and also to create other objects (some buildings too). This procedures are crucial to have some original objects on this map (for example, there're already the bus stops (with versions marking zones and terminii)).
- The scenerization procedures on the sections of line 9374 will start on early to mid November, with some modifications and inspections to the roadways and railways (yes, this map will have trains as AI) shortly before.More details will be announced on other news updates.

The scenerization procedures arrived finally at Almeirim, with prediction of being completed on this week, with the inclusion of more arborized sections on the place of the town, which the monastery (Mosteiro de Almeirim) is located on a forest which is close to the town. This is also the 2nd (not the 1st, because the line 9372 enters on Salvaterra village but the 9372X doesn't) time that the line 9372 and 9372X do not follow the same course, with the 9372 serving the town of Almeirim and the 9372X following a more direct course towards the terminus, crossing one street and entering on the terminus's square, which is the entrance of the monastery, and also of the Almeirim Forest Park.
An screenshot release with a (very) special guest (the MAN ÜL or the Setra S 319 UL-GT) is stated to occur in November 1st, 2016, showcasing the progress on scenerization. -
The screenshot publication moved to today, two days ahead of schedule. There're 17 photos in this publication, covering the final zones (of the route 9372 - Attention: This is only the 1st phase of scenerization!) of east of Salvaterra: Brás do Canavial and Almeirim, aswell the vegetation across these zones. Bus used: MAN ÜL292 (Manual transmission).
Observations: There're one object from the Citybus O305 Add-on (the theatre from Neuendorf map). This payware add-on will be required for this map, because of some objects used on this map.

Here it is a news update of 2016-11-08:
- The texturing process on Blender started on November 2nd, with the texturization of the road signs, a process which is stated to be concluded later this month after adding the textfield textures and later tests on OMSI;
Scenerization of the Line 9374 map section started in parallel (on November 4th) with the texturization process. Started on the section between Porto Alto and Alto dos Canaviais. Before this, an crossing and spline change were made to make the roadmap more original, using some objects and splines from the ex-DDR zone of the Spandau map;
- Another modification was the completion, also in this section of the railroad sections of the North Line and the West Line, which this route 9374 crosses (still missing the arrengement for the S. José da Lamarosa station). -
This screenshot publication covers the villages of Alto dos Canaviais and Gavião (but also an update on the zone of Porto Alto), present on the course of the route 9374. These sections were scenerized (1st phase) from November 8th to December 9th 2016 (I need to be more faster!). This screenshot publication contains 20 screenshots and was made with an Mercedes-Benz O 305 G (CP Bahnbus, 1980).
This was also the time that was also used objects from the newest map, Blankwitz (the objects (the grass and the wheats) are courtesy of Waldheini12).
An News Update on the map construction / scenerization procedures will be provided tomorrow, December 12th, at 10:00 AM sharp. -
Here it is a news update of 2016-12-12:
- After an slow start of the scenerization of the sections of the route 9374 / 9374X (recovering from a personal issue, aswell testing repaints and new / modded buses), the map is inching towards Vila Rica, an town which has an touristic attraction: The historic centre, which dates from the 13th century, one of the earliest settlements in the SW Santarém District. This will also be the 1st zone to use more objects from Blankwitz (the buildings from Bad Karlstein and the fort objects - these ones are, as mandated to credit, courtesy of Waldheini12). This location has also an important campus of the Santarém District University, the important university in the district. Scenerization is stated to be started on December 15th and will end on December 22nd.
- Before the scenerization procedures between Gavião and Vila Rica, more 2 tiles were added, aswell a railway segment, covering the West Line, which splits from the North Line (the West Line has also on bus connections by the line 9373 / 9373X). Water was also added on 3 tiles for constructing a section of the Gavião Stream (Ribeiro do Gavião). A bridge was also built using two pedestrian bridges (of the Spandau's Heerstr.). Scenerization is stated to be finished on December 13th-14th.More news will be provided later on other news updates along these weeks and days. An special briefing will be conducted on the 2nd day of 2017.

After a rogue start of 2017 (yes, it was really rogue) I'm here to provide the latest news about this map. And the news are finally here:
- The scenerization of Vila Rica was concluded in mid-January, which was later than predicted because of personal issues (yes, again) and also because of the also delayed tests to my newest acquisition (yes, the Mercedes-Benz O 405 of Pedro). I was considering using the Bad Karlstein objects, but they were ruled out because of texturing issues (800 MB in textures!), so the final version was changed in order to incorporate objects with more lightweight textures. in order to have a much faster loading of them.
The tunnel between Vila Rica and Povos Novos was changed to a one used on the Blankwitz map (courtesy of Waldheini12), which I felt that could be much better in this situation. The scenerization procedures between Vila Rica and Povos Novos were made between the late January & early February with the addition of the vegetations & trees similar to the characteristic of that region. The scenerization of Povos Novos wasn't initiated before a street rearrangement, thus replacing a crossing with a junction (Seeburger Str. / Seeckstr.). The scenerization procedures began in late February & ended in March 6th.
- A screenshot publication will be done on March 10th to showcase the progress of the map.
I apologise for any inconvenience which caused you not being informed correctly of any upgrade in the construction of the map.
