This is true did not get around to fully implement kickdown sounds for 1-2, 3-4, 4-5 on version 1.5.
What file do i edit for the better ZF?
I like it the downshifting sounds exactly like the Aussie NL202 that go down my street each day
When will the update for the SD83 ZF4HP500 be released
Can someone make sound preview?
Frankly half of the problem is I live in the United States, we do not have buses with kickdown around here nonetheless a Man Nl202. In fact before my involvement in OMSI, I was totally nescient about the products which Man produced for the European market. MAN did manufactured and produced buses in the United States for an duration of the time between 1980s and early 1990s. They had an short stance in the North American market. Right now they are regarded as an company which makes axle parts for our trucks and buses for the most part.
Anyways moving back onto topic, I do not know the typical up shift rpm of the Man Nl202 with kickdown and without kickdown even the speed indicated at the time would do. The current shifting pattern is replicated off of New Flyer D40LF around here, here's an recording of one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t253d0032Y so I used an setup which is domestic to me versus foreign.
From listening to this recording, BSAG 4323 - MAN NL202 kickdown, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8D1B9nfbPrQ , the shifting is quite different without when kickdown is used. I take it on the assumption that the general shifting rpm is generally between 1550-1650 rpm? Right now currently in OMSI, I have it set to ~1850 rpm.
First, thanks for using my recordings.. Quite cool to hear my 'own' sounds in Omsi!
And the big difference between the normal shifting and the kickdown with this setup of the gearbox is that with normal shifting the gearbox will lock up the second gear and when using the kickdown, the gearbox will lockup the first gear. I'm also not sure about the normal shifting rpm, but I'm quite convinced it will be around the 1500 and 1700 rpm, yes.
Stefan,
Thank you so much for the recordings and information, I am now starting to implement it some of the tweaks into the NL202.
Hi Krtz07,
I love this ZF mod for the MAN NL202 0.99. I was just wondering if you could do one specially for the MAN NL202 IDTF Edition bus that can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jixK_DYaciA
This bus has got more realistic sounds so with your ZF mod, it will sound even better.
Cheers, Steven
If you want to use this ZF-modification for the 1DTF-MAN you just have to change the "door.osc" and "heizung.osc".
So take this to files from Frenzy's NL and paste it into the DTF-NL directory.
Okay, Thanks @Lenni, I will try it now.
If there's any interest, I could attach my own performance tweak onto the modification as well. The animations would only become active if the engine hatch is open. I love the engine animations!
And if you need sounds let me know.
Not so bad ! But I don't hear the gearbox screaming when shifting from the 1st gear to the 2nd gear. We have ZF-fitted buses in my town, and I always hear the gearbox screaming
Awesome ZF for NL202, is there any chance of ZF for the MAN Sl202?
can you make it available for NL 202 KAMAZ DTF V1.1 Edition ??
Hi, I cant get the NL 202 Dtf to work with this mod.
Has anyone been able to?
