Well, here I present the legendary O405 citybus for OMSI.
For me, this bus has a special place in my heart, since I pretty much grew up riding around in these. They were part of the last generation of buses to come from Germany with a high floor configuration, and, despite enjoying great success all over the world, there are gradually being removed from service everywhere due to their age. So I believe preserving their memory is important.
Now, as far as the project goes, all of the modelling is complete. I still have to add some details here and there (like the warning decals and fire extinguisher for the interior, for example)
and polish up some of the textures, but for the most part it is done. The O405G is in a much earlier state than the O405, but since there are a lot of shared parts between the buses, I will finish up the O405 first before continuing the O405G.
As far as scripting goes, the gearbox and engine still need further adjustments. The ticket machine and destination blind still need coding for them, but that's the next stage of the project. I plan to have a bunch of different configurations (rollerblind, ANNAX and LAWO-styled blinds) and matching ticket machines for each, but this is still in very early development.
I'm also planning on having some level of customization for the bus, but I'll keep this feature under wraps untill it's further along.
Basically, here's a list of what's still left to do (it's still quite a bit of work, as you can see):
-Lightmaps for the interior/dashboard;
-Modelling additional details for the interior;
-Destination/ticket machine scripts and models;
-Transferring shared parts to the O405G
At the moment, the project is PLANNED to be payware. But nothing is set in stone yet, and I will provide more information regarding this as it becomes available.
